Most tree and hedge work is judged on a photograph taken from the pavement after everything has been cleared away, which tells you almost nothing. What is actually worth seeing is the shape of the problem beforehand, the constraints that decided how the job was done, and how far it had got by the time somebody thought to take another photograph.

So these write-ups go through each job in order. What was there, why it needed doing, what limited the options, and how it was taken down or cut back. Where a job is still in progress in the photographs, it says so.
